Lunchtime Together

  • Tuesday November 25 at 12:00 pm at FGBC.
  • Everyone is welcome to bring your lunch and join us for a time of fellowship.

Blessing Tree Card Writing

  • Wednesday November 26 at 7:00 pm at FGBC.
  • Everyone is invited to join us as we spend time writing cards that are going to go into the Blessing Tree hampers.

Young Adults

  • Wednesdays from 7:00-9:00 pm at FGBC in the Upper Room.
  • All young adults who have graduated from high school or are into their early 30s are welcome for a time of fun, fellowship, and digging into scripture.

Youth

  • Fridays from 7:00-9:00 pm at FGBC in the Upper Room
  • Grade 7-12s are welcome for a time of fun and fellowship.

Men's Wing Lunch

  • Saturday November 29 at noon at FGBC.
  • Men, you are invited to see how many wings you can eat.
  • Cost is by donation.

Church at the Hockey Game

  • Saturday November 29 at 6:00 pm at Kopar Memorial Arena.
  • Let's pack out the Kopar. Group tickets are $14.
  • Contact Cory (204-990-3520) by November 26 to book your ticket.

Board Game Hangout

  • Saturday November 29 from 4:00 pm-10:00 pm at FGBC.
  • Everyone is welcome to come out and play some board games. Bring your favourite game or play one of the games provided.
  • These board game hangouts happen on the second and last Saturday of every month.

 

Sunday Morning Worship

  • Worship begins at 10:30 am. 
  • Worship with us in person or online. 
  • Subscribe to our Youtube channel to watch online.
  • Nursery is available for parents to use. 
  • Toddler room (6 months-PreK) will be dismissed downstairs before the sermon begins.
  • Sunday School (K-Grade 6) will not be dismissed downstairs this Sunday as it is interactive worship.
  • Parents, you can check in your children on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am via the Church Center app.
  • Pre-service Prayer at 10:00 am.

Young Adults Meal

  • Sunday November 30 after church in the Upper Room.
  • Young adults, if you have graduated from high school/are into your early 30s, you are invited to stick around after church for a free meal.
  • For any dietary concerns or questions, contact Brad (204-572-7610).

Church Fellowship Lunch

  • After church, you are invited to join a group who is going for lunch at a local restaurant.
  • Where are they going? Who knows. Talk to Cory, Kyle, or Pat on Sunday morning for more information.

Tuesday Morning Prayer

  • Tuesday from 7:00-7:30 am via Zoom.

Blessing Tree Gift Return Deadline

  • Sunday December 7.
  • Please return all gifts to FGBC by or before December 7 so we can prepare to pack hampers.

FGBC Christmas Potluck Banquet and Talent Show

  • Sunday December 7 at Fort George Baptist Church. Doors open at 5:00 pm and food begins at 5:30 pm.
  • If you are able, please bring a food dish to share in the potluck.
  • If you have a talent that you would like to share during the Talent Show, please contact Isaac (250-961-1678).

Blessing Tree Hamper Packing

  • Saturday December 13 from 3:00-5:00 pm at FGBC.
  • Everyone is welcome to join us as we pack hampers and pray for the families that will be receiving the hampers.
  • We will end the afternoon with pizza.

YFC Christmas Banquet

  • Sunday December 14 at 5:30 pm at Fort George Baptist Church.
  •  COME AND JOIN US for a night of loving community, great food, and celebration at our Christmas Banquet Fundraiser. 
  • Tickets are $45 and include a full course meal from Tina's Catering. Bid on our awesome Silent Auction items and learn more about YFC and our missions in Prince George, Mackenzie, and McBride. 

Hymn Sing

  • Saturday December 20 at 3:00 pm at FGBC.
  • Entrance by donation with all proceeds going to Sonrise.

Christmas Eve Service

  • December 24 at 6:00 pm at FGBC.
  • Everyone is welcome to a time of worship as we bring an end to the Advent season and reflect on the story of Jesus' birth.

NEWS

Year-End Business Meeting Results

  • Motion: That we accept the 2026 budget as presented. (Yes: 38; No: 1)
  • Motion: That we accept all the persons nominated to positions of leadership for 2026 by acclamation. (Yes: 35; No: 3; Abstain: 1)
  • Both motions passed.

Advent Devotionals

  • Each year the North American Baptist Conference puts together Advent devotionals. These devotionals are a way to participate in Advent together alongside other followers of Jesus from across North America.
  • If you are interested, you can sign up here.

Blessing Tree

  • Every year we, as a church, put together Christmas hampers for people affiliated with the Elizabeth Fry Society, who are in need during the holiday season. 
  • There will be a number of different "events" tied to the Blessing Tree coming up over the next number of weeks and months as we meet many needs within our community. Check out this link to see the events that are currently being planned.
  • There is going to be a weekly guided prayer put together during the Blessing Tree season. Signup here and lets cover the people receiving hampers in prayer.

Christmas at FGBC

Small Groups

  • Did you know we have many different small groups meeting throughout the week? The goal of these groups is to build relationships and grow as a follower of Jesus.
  • This year, we are aiming to have small groups meet for 10 weeks at a time, before taking a break for a few weeks. This gives you a chance to connect even if you don't have the capacity to connect for an entire year.

Student Ministry Registrations for the New School Year

  • All minors who are involved in student ministry at Fort George Baptist Church are required to have a current registration form filled out. This includes any ministry where your child is left in the care of a screened volunteer, including, but not limited to Toddler Room, Sunday School, and Youth Ministry.
  • This form is in effect for children's ministry taking place during the period of September 1, 2025-August 31, 2026.
  • You can register online here.All online registrations will require an in person parental signature once ministry sessions begin in September.
  • Alternatively, paper copies of this registration form are available at the church office.

Monthly Stewardship Challenge

  • As individuals and as a broader church family, we want to be good stewards of all that God has given us.
  • December Challenge:  Try a free or low cost activity.

LAUGH OF THE WEEK  

 An accordion player is driving home late one night after playing a concert. He's tired and hungry so he stops at an all-night diner for a bite to eat.
 
 Halfway through his meal he realizes that although he locked his car doors, his accordion is in the back seat, in plain sight!
 
 He rushes out to his vehicle but he is too late. The windows are already smashed and someone has thrown in two more accordions.
