Hello Church Family,

We are really excited about our trip to Guatemala and about partnering with you in prayer as we do it.  There are two main focuses for us during this trip. 

The first is to discern whether there is an ongoing connection for FGBC to be involved with Impact Ministries over the next several years.  If this is something we will do then a team from PG will head to Guatemala every couple years moving forward.  If this isn't something we are being called to then this will be a "one-off" trip and our church will continue looking for other opportunities.  

To this end please pray for our team that God will lead us throughout this entire trip.  Just because there is need does not mean we are called, so we need wisdom to discern whether this is something we are being called into.

Second, Nikki and I have been talking about introducing our children to the developing world since before they were born, and finally we are doing it!  Our hope is to make them aware of the incredible blessing and responsibility they have been given simply by being born in Canada as well as make them aware to the fact that God is at work all over the world.  Please pray for wisdom for Nikki and I as we help them navigate the complexities of this experience. 

Finally, please pray that God will be at work in all of this revealing Himself to us and the rest of the team.  We deeply want to be part of what He is doing to increase His glory and expand His kingdom in this experience as in everything else.
